succession in louisiana

My parents came to live with us in Louisiana from Michigan in 2004 leaving their home. In 2005 my father died in louisiana leaving the house to my mother in his will. She sold the house and has the money in CD's. I need to do a succession on him. How involved is this & what kind of cost?

If the house was in Michigan then Michigan law controls. Contact a Michigan lawyer.
