Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
My uncle recently died in Louisiana. He had a will written in 2003 and he had a codicil made to the will in September of 2010, 9 days before his death. In the codicil he released his first choice as executor and so made his second choice, who was referred to in the will, as his choice for executor. How can I be sure the executor will carry out the wishes in the will and will not take money for himself, and also, can I find a way to dispute that I was not left money, when I am one of two remaining relatives (his niece) and he left money to a variety of other people and a few community organizations.

You can view the will. If the executor won't show you the will, go to the courthouse where the succession was opened and pull it from the court record.
