Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana
If a will prepared in Louisiana states that assets are left to a particular named heir, does that include real property (i.e. house) if no real property is mentioned in the will? The specific word, "assets" is what is in question. My own location, that is, my zip code, has no bearing on this question. I am a legal heir according to LA state law now that my mother has died in Louisiana.

If some leave you all of their assets, that would include any real estate whiche the decedent owned.

Assets mean assets......land, money, cars, etc.........if ALL assets are given to a certain person, and there are no children under the age of 23 years, and no children who are mentally challenged, then everything goes to the named person.
