Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Louisiana

My mother-in-law married a man with no children. They had a will made leaving everything to each other. The husband died first and my Mother-in-law still has the same will made. does this mean that when she dies her estate will go to her husband's family or to her son from a previous marriage? thanks

To be safe, she should change her will, now that her husband is deceased.
