Legal Question in Workers Comp in Louisiana

I am a teacher at a daycare my child got strep throat I have to health insurance boss said I needed to goto the doctor and be cleared before returning to work. Positve test for strep on myself doctor vist 140.00 test 20.00 meds 4.00 was not allowed by doctor or boss to return to work till after weekend. missed work friday 11.5 hours and two hours on Thursday for having to goto the doctor. employer new I had no insurance and doesn't offer any. Had to be cleared by Doctor before returning to work
