Legal Question in Workers Comp in Louisiana

workers comp injury

i had a 1200lb. fan fall and crush my left forearm on 3/26/08. i was wondering if the dr. releases me back to work before i need one of the plates taken out who is responsible for the cost of the surgery me or the workers comp. co.?
