In California, the public defender will represent you in a paternity suit, which is what you have in your child support case. If not the public defender, go to legal aid. If the child is not yours, you should fight this. The system will respond if you keep pushing it. Every deputy district attorney has a supervisor, and you can write letters and make waves.
