Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Maine
Living in Maryland and own a home in Maine
I am thinking of filing chapter 7 bankruptcy and am curious if I can include my house in Maine in the bankruptcy. I am unemployed and cannot afford to keep paying my bills. My savings is pretty much depleted.

Not only can you include your house in Maine, you MUST include your house in Maine. All assets (and liabilities) anywhere in the world have to be scheduled. If you need to get out of the mortgage on that house, it will be dischargeable in bankruptcy.
