Legal Question in Business Law in Maine

hi my boy friend that lives with me was in bussiness in a company with a friend of his my boy friend ordered some metal roofing for my house threw this friend at my boy friends cost.my boy friends friend put this on the company acc.when we asked him if he wanted us to send down the money for the roof he said no keep it for your next two checks we are broke i won't be able to pay you right now.my boy friend decides to look for other employment to help company out finds it. and because he would not put it under his company name he's claiming that we stole it.now he said he is goin to put a lean on my property and have me aressted we still have the roofing i also have the paper work stating he had it delivered here.can he do this.i have nothing to do with anything.

Has this material been installed? If they installed the roofing, they may be able to put a lien on the property, but not have you arrested. If you have benefited from this material, you will need to pay for it. You should keep all the paperwork you have to show what really happened.
