Building lease
I had a business at airport in a city in Maine. I had no lease and I moved out of the hanger without notice. The airport director wants me to pay the month rent after
I moved out. The reason I moved out without notice is he enter the hanger without giving me notice. What are my rights?

Re: Building lease
The airport director will likely argue that you terminated your tenancy without providing adequate notice. The fact that the director entered the space without notice may be relevant: Did his entrance cause any damages, or interfere with your tenancy in any other way? Did you put the director on notice of your intention to move out following his entry?
Also, on what day of the month was rent due? On what day of the month did you actually vacate? If you gave him notice of your intent to vacate, on what day did you do so? Did the landlord take immediate action to attempt to re-rent the premises?
As you can probably tell from my questions, this is a fact-driven issue. I recommend that you discuss this issue with an attorney, as the answers to the above questions are important to determine what course of action you might take going forward.
