Compensation
Is it ok to get a small commission from a computer company on a program that you helped them revise for a specific business? It was their own program. I gave them suggestions as to how it would help me and others.

If you did work for them, you should be compensated for that. It is always best to have an agreement beforehand, but even if you did not, you can still get paid something.
