Unfortunately, I don't have enough information to be able to offer a meaningful response. Are you a CPA? Are the accounting reports already completed? Were the accounting reports completed prior to the client running up an unpaid bill? Are there tax filing or deadline-related issues that could arise from failure to provide accounting reports? These are all questions, answers to which could have a bearing on any legal advice you might get on this topic. Please feel free to contact Mike Vaillancourt, 207/767-4824, to further discuss.
