Legal Question in Business Law in Maine
I am a freelance writer in the US. Is the company I write for, in Canada, legally allowed to withhold my pay as they investigate claims of AI usage? They claim I used AI and gave me 2 different reports with 2 very different numbers and said withholding pay to check other submissions.

Yes if you're not an employee but an independent contractor you don't have as many rights.
