Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Maine
Don't know Judgement Debtors Address
My husband is the Judgement Creditor in a small claims case in the state of Maine. The Judgement Debtor has stopped paying the regular monthly requirement. My husband has attempted to bring a motion for contempt but the Judgement Debtor (female) has moved leaving no forwarding address which does not allow him to service her. Since he is unable to locate her, is there anyway he can proceed further in attempt to collect the money he is owed? She has not made payment for 10 months now and still owes roughly $2000. We think she might be in a neighboring state or may have changed her name.
Please advise and thank you for your help.

The normal practice in such cases is for the Judgement Creditor to take all possible steps available to learn the whereabouts of the Judgement Debtor, which could be:
(i)for your husband to himself track her down with the resources at his command; or
(ii)to seek the services of a good detective or firm of detectives having offices all over the country, so that your husband would have access to a vast investigative machinery across the country which could trace the whereabouts of the Judgement Debtor in no time.
