Legal Question in Technology Law in Maine
Internet access
Is it illegal to share an internet connection which is located on a neighbor's property, and is paid for by that neighbor? He is a friend of mine and has offered to share his connection with me free of charge. His internet connection is a fixed resource (DSL), all I would have to do is run a wire to his house and connect to his network.

Re: Internet access
Unless his service contract permits this type of sharing, which it most likely does not, then this would be theft of services and you would both save yourselves potential criminal liability by simply paying to have your own service connected.
