House Payment

A house is jointly owned with a joint mortgage. One party moves out. Can the party remaining in the home sue the party that moved out for the mortgage payment. The party remaining in the house is currently making the morgage payment but wants compensation for half.

Yes, and they can countersue for the rental value of your occupancy. Was there no written agreement following purchase? I would need to see any Mortgage document or Partnership Agreement. Please don't tell me this was boyfriend/girlfriend situation.
