Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maine

I wrote checks to my hairdresser while my husband was out of town burying his mother. I told her I wasn't sure which acct to use since he was gone and everything was up in the air. She insisted I go ahead and write them anyway. That was 2/20. Apparently they did not clear. I found out about it while at my eye doc when an employee of the salon approached me, asked if I intended to pay cash for the checks and threatened to call the cops and tell them where I was at that moment. I would like to take legal action nagainst that employee.

While you may be angry about the confrontation I do not see what legal action could/should be taken by you against that employee.
