Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maine

I am i desperate need for legal advice. I am 72 years old and was accused of not paying for 3 sympathy cards for family members that just passed on My aunt and cousin, I have been very upset and under doctors care and recently was released from the hospital and waiting to have further tests as I have numerous health issues.

If you can afford a criminal lawyer you should get one. Otherwise plead NOT guilty, tell the truth, and see if the charges can be dropped.
