Legal Question in DUI Law in Maine

Officer Resigns

I received a OUI last June. One of the officers that is going to testify against me, resigned from the Police Dept. There is still the arresting officer and 2 testifying ''breathalizher'' officers that are still willing to testify. Does this help my case at all?

Re: Officer Resigns

It may help some... and it may not. It may be that the officer who resigned will still appear at trial. It may also be that the officer who resigned actually would have been the least harmful witness to your case.
