what happens with your J-1 &/or Turist visa if you get a DUI while you are visiting under it?

I am not certain of the consequences. I know that a conviction for drunk driving is a misdemeanor crime for a first offense with no aggravating circumstances. This type of conviction could lead to deportation of a legal alien. I suggest that you consult an immigration lawyer.
