Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

How do I amend a visitation order?

I am a man who has sole physical and shared legal custody of my 10-year-old daughter.

Unfortunately for my daughter the GAL in my case was biased and failed to do a thorough investigation. Because of this the visitation orders changed from supervised to unsupervised in Maine. Since the start of these orders my daughter has completely deteriorated. She is now having problems in school and home when there were no issues before. For my daughters mental health and physical safety I need to get this order changed. My daughter is suffering because the courts dont listen to me. How can I get this fixed? What will it take for the courts to understand they need to protect my daughter?

Re: How do I amend a visitation order?

You need to hire a lawyer and file a Motion to Amend with the court. That appears to be the only way this issue can be resolved.
