Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

Custody- family court

I am waiting for a custody hearing that is some time in the future. We have not been to mediation as of yet. I want to know what paper I can file with the judge so that my x partner is forced to let me see my son at least half of the time until the hearing??? Can anyone tell me what paper to file.... ?????? I still reside in our home and as a mother have never been away from my 9 year old this long. Please help

It's not as easy as filing a piece of paper. You need to request visitation and have a hearing. I'm not sure where you're located so don't know when the court might schedule a hearing. It may not be until after your mediation.

If you have a minor child and there are disputes about visitation or custody, you need a lawyer to protect your rights.
