Legal Question in Family Law in Maine

divorce rights

when starting divorce procedures, with a violent spouse, what is the best method. Twenty years together and two children, no matter what I say or do I am always the (*&^%%)_)^%%_+) He is very violent and an alcoholic!! I am always the worthless b----! How do I get started and at least give my children a good finish to childhood.

Confused and Petrified!!...........:-]
