Is it Legal for a man to get married and take his wifes last name.

A person may legally change their name at any time, provided they follow the correct procedure (usually done through the appropriate Probate Court). Some males do take their wives' names, I have seen other couples both take a new name that combines their respective last names. It is legal to do so.
