Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maine

raffle ticket fraud

i won a prize after the raffle ticket i bought was drawn as the winner on sept. 23 2006. it has been over 6 weeks and the prize has not been delivered to me after several assurances that it would be. the ticket was sold to me by a member of the freemason society and the prize was something that had been donated to them for the raffle. the prize was 2 cords of firewood delivered to me and has a value of approx. $500.00. is there a time limit that i have to give them or is 6 weeks a reasonable amount of time to wait before going further with it?

thanks...lynne

Re: raffle ticket fraud

The best move you can make right now is to speak to the Maine Attorney General office re your concerns. Lotteries are tightly regulated by that office.
