Where can I find the procedure for filing a judgment I have against a Maine resident in the State of Maine (form, cost, etc.)?

Re: Recording foreign judgment in Maine
Maine has adopted the Uniform Foreign Judgments Act which provides that the authenticated foreign judgment (attested and bearing the seal of the original Court)may be filed with a summary sheet, affidavit and request for its entry with the Maine District Court for the geographic area of the debtor. Proof of mailing must be made to the debtor. The fee is the same as with a Complaint, $120.00. There is a 30 day window for the debtor to contest entry of Judgment. Once this time has passed and the Court issues a Maine Writ of Execution, then other enforcment proceedings may be commenced in Maine or the Writ can be recorded in the Registry of Deeds to create a lien.

You make no mention as to the occurence giving rise to the pending judgment. Maryland may or may not have jurisdiction over the matter. Contact an attorney for further assistance.
