Small Claims Proceedings

I am owed some money and it's been almost a year since it was promised to me. Can I charge interest and personal direst on this also?

Re: Small Claims Proceedings

Generally, unless you had a written agreement that interest would be included, the only interest recoverable should be statutory interest, accruing after you initiate suit in court or serve a proper notice of claim. Personal distress would not be recoverable. If you prevail in court, you should be able to recover your filing fees and service costs.
