Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maine

the statue of limitations about reprintig

An article was written about me in an antique newspaper that was completly false, I did't find this out in time to bring suit. this article has been on the internet since 1996 and dispite my repeated requests to the editor stating that I have depositions to the contrary and that he is hurting my abality in earning a living the response I received from him was sorry It's a good story. Is there anything I could to stop the continued slander against my reputation. Thank You Sabatino--name removed--
