Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maine

Need advice regarding travel abroad as a green card holder.

Few week ago I became Permanent Resident through Asylum and now I wish to travel abroad. Just before I adjusted my status I applied for a Refugee Travel Document which is still in pending process.

My questions are:

As Green card holder through Asylum (former Asylee) can I use my National Passport to travel abroad as by using it I do not require visa to many countries? How safe would be for me to reenter US with my GC and NP considering I obtained the GC through Asylum? If I use the NP will this became an issue when is time for my naturalization?

I do not plan on traveling to COP

Thank you

As you're now a permanent resident, you should travel with your passport and the alien registration card. Advance Parole doesn't apply to you anymore and is not necessary. Traveling to your country of nationality is risky as it discredits the asylum case and should be avoided.
