This depends on how your boyfriend first entered into the U.S.
Assuming he entered legally, you may sponsor him for an adjustment of status to lawful permanent residence.
Once he gets his green card, he will be able to travel back to Egypt and return to the U.S. without problems.

LPR needs to maintain US residence
If once you marry him and he can adjust status, he will be granted legal permanent residency. (His status likely will be conditional as your marriage likely would have been shorter than two years by the time the status is granted. Additional steps need to be done to remove conditions.) As an LPR, he will need to maintain a permanent US residence. In general, he can go outside the US for short visits. If he stays outside the US for too long without advance permission from the US government or taking steps to maintain his US residency, the government may allege that he has abandon his US residency and eventually take back his green card.
You both likely should review your facts and options with an attorney.

Did your boyfriend enter the USA legally ie. with inspection and an I-94 Card? Does he have a clean police record? The answers to these questions will determine whether your boyfriend can adjust status from within the USA after marriage to a United States citizen.
