Legal Question in Insurance Law in Maine
Suicide and Life Insurance in Maine
My brother-in-law committed suicide one month ago. He has
had life insurance for many years, and it is paid up to date. Is his family entitled to receive the benefits? Most states have a two-year suicide clause, but I am unable to find that information for the state of Maine (where the family resides).

Re: Suicide and Life Insurance in Maine
The family should review the life insurance policy to see what it says in regard to this issue. (Maine likely is with the majority.)
