Terminated employee eligible for benefits

I recently had an employee storm out over a personal issue and never returned to work. Are we obligated to pay her earned vacation time even though she did not give her two week notice as our policy states?

Under Florida law, no. Unfortunately, I cannot speak as to Maine law.
