Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Maine

Ilive in the state of Maine. My Ex landlord filed a small claim. I went to court and the case was dismissed due to the Plantiff failed to apear. I am not getting served again 2.5 months later for the same claim. Is that legal?

You should look at the order you got from the court from the previous case. Does it say the case was dismissed "with prejudice" or "without prejudice"? If it is "with prejudice," then he can't bring the same claim again. He may try to say this is a different claim. You should bring all the paperwork (the first complaint and order) with you to court and explain this to the judge - they will decide if the landlord had his chance already or not.
