Legal Question in Personal Injury in Maine

Personal Injury

I was playing tennis, tripped and broke my arm. Went to the ER and an orthopedic surgeon who recommended flying home rather than driving (Maine to Ohio). Is there a way to recover the cost of flying and loss of work time from the hotel's insurance company?

Re: Personal Injury

I hope your arm is healing well. First, I must note that the hotel's insurance may pay all medical costs up to a fixed amount since you were hurt on their premises. Have you filed a claim with them? Costs of air fare may not be included, but you could ask. My question to you: How did you trip & fall? If there is negligence involved on the part of the hotel, then you should be able to pursue your air fare, all medical costs, pain, suffering, loss of quality of life, lost income and compensation for any permanent impairment. Please let me know if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you for your inquiry.
