morgaging home

husband ang I own land and buildings. We have been separated ten years. I live in house and pay all bills. My name is on the deed. He wants to borrow a loan and mortgage the house which is all paid for. Can he do that without me agreeing and signing papers?

If you are on the deed to the property, then the bank/mortgage company will not allow the loan to close without obtaining from you consent and signing the mortgage, otherwise the mortgage could not foreclose your interest.
