Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maine

i had owned a piece of property in maine.it was going through foreclosure and my lending institution offered me a workout agreement.i was going to do a workout with them so in the meantime i had moved some of my personal property back in the house and then to my disbelief my property was taken by someone that the mortgage company contracted to "secure the property".now no one seems to know where my property is.is there any legal obligation that the mortgage company has on returning my property.
