Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maine

I have let two people stay on my property for the summer for shared utility bills. They have not paid me any bill money. Now I have asked them to leave. They will not. How should I proceed to get them off my property if they don't leave when I disconnect their water, cable and electricity? Oh, and as a bonus, I just found out they are running sewage out of that buried black hose, not gray water as they said... it runs into a brook that empties into the ocean less than 100 feet from the shore and 100 feet from my well.

File a Forcible Entry and Detainer complaint against them. In other words, evict them through the court system.

Good luck.

First, you should not disconnect their water and electricity. You need to evict them like any other tenant. If you do disconnect their water and electricity they can sue you for wrongful eviction. You should tell them immediately that they are not allowed to run the sewage out where they are, or they will be liable for any damages they cause.
