Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maine
My property abutts a reserved street(33' wide). Who has jurisdiction over the use of this reserved street. Because my neighbors have blocked this reserved street with parking four of their cars so that it is inpassable.
My deed says "reserved street" that bounds my north side of my property. My neighbors abutt this "reserved street " on their south side of thier property. I'm at a loss of what to do now.

Who is the street reserved for?
Is it an undeveloped street that was reserved so that land without current street access can be accessed and developed by that owner in the future? That owner has rights over the blocking of the street.
Or, is it a paper-street, which exists on a plan from when the neighborhood was created but is not needed or useful? If so, statute may have created for you to have rights in that paperstreet to the centerline and the same for your neighbor.
Perhaps the town has an ordinance about the storage of junked cars that could apply regardless of who has rights to the street, if they are too close to your lot line or not screened by a fence.
