Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Maine
I have purchased a piece of property in Old Orchard, Maine. Thje abutting property owner a developer has run a pipe to divert water from his subdivision on to my property. Is that legal what can I do?

Without knowing the specific facts involved, I would say the abutting property owner likely cannot simply channel his run-off onto your property. The town code enforcement office should be able to handle this, as this should be part of the development permitting process. You should approach the town about this issue first, but if they don't provide relief you will likely need to hire an attorney.
