The legal fee associated with deed preparation is typically a flat fee in the range of $125-175. Title searching may be adviseable at an additional cost. Also to be considered is possible transfer tax that must be paid if the transfer is for value between parties other than related by family. Transfer tax is 2.20 per every $500 to be paid (split) by grantor and grantee.
