Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine
The biological father of my daught has never been involved in her life and signed off his parental rights this past october. I am the sole custodian of my daughter and I have a hearing scheduled for the termination of her biological fathers parental rights, so that my partner may adopt her. If we get an evidentiary hearing, what do I do?

Your question cannot be answered in this forum. I am not sure what the October signing off of his parental rights consists of, or the actual hearing scheduled to also terminate his rights. The Court standard is Clear and Convincing evidence of his abandonment. Perhaps DHHS is involved due to benefits paid.
