Fathers death

my Father resently died, he did not

have a will, he was married (she

my step Mother). Do I have any

claim to his estate, I am his only

child?

Sorry for your loss. As Mr. Nye indicated you do have a claim. Since your father did not have a will, the State's laws of 'intestate succession' as it is called, will determine the division of the estate. There are procedures that need to be followed in the distribution the estate, so you should get help from an attorney.
