You can physically destroy the old Will so that at least, in the absence of a new Will, Maine Intestacy rules will apply.

As to a new Will, paying for a lawyer is not paying for the Will form, it is paying for the advice and customizing the document to your situation. Therefore, if you know exactly what you want, and do not want any review/advice, you can do a "holograph" Will which is one you create yourself, and the body of the Will should be in your handwriting if you want to be able to sign it without all the formality of witnesses and notaries. If you want to use a pre-printed form, say from online, you will need 2 witnesses and a notary all at once to sign the Will.
