Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine
Type of will to use
Which will should my father-in-law fill out? He's was married, divorced, remarried and is now a widower. He has grown children from the 1st marriage and stepchildren from the second. Both wifes are deceased.

I am not sure what question you are asking when you ask "which Will should [he] fill out?". A Will is a document that is personalized and drafted for each specific situation. There is no specific "Form", other than the pre-form Wills found at office supply stores, on the internet, etc and they should not be filled out without consulting an attorney to be sure the Will accomplishes the client's desire.
A client could do a Will in their own handwriting (not a form) called a holographic Will if it is a simple Will.
I would be willing to assist further if needed. - Thanks- Jerome Gamache

Your father does not have to mmake any such choice. he can leave his estate to whomever he wants. That means he can divide his possessions among his children and grandchildren all together. he is not required to choose one family over another.
The law finds all of you his family.
I charge $250.00 for a legal will custom drafted for a client like your father. You are welcome to a consultation for no fee.
