Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine

last will testament

we did a on-line will

do we have to have three wittnesses at the time of signing?

Can a notary public do this for us?

Can we have them sign ahead of time and then go to a notary?

Re: last will testament

Since I do not know how the jurat or witness certification is set up in the on-line Will, the safest way to be sure it is executed properly is to assemble the witnesses before the notary and have everyone sign at the same time.

A Will is too important to take chances or cut corners as it is the only document that will "speak" for someone after they have passed.
