Legal Question in Employment Law in Malta
Work related
I am working 6-7 hours a day. The employer tells me I am not entitled to a 30 minute break unless I work 8 hours a day. Is that true?

Sort of. Except as to minors, neither Ohio nor federal law require employers to provide any breaks regardless of the number of hours worked.

It would depend on the number of days that you work in part but my opinion is that any hours after 5 would require a break.
