Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland
The legality of divorce online
I'm here in the Philippines and want to have a divorce with my wife who is living in Maryland. Would it it be more economical for me with regards to the cost of procesing my divorce and is is just okay if it is non-appearance coz it's not easy for me to just come in Maryland to apply the divorce and besides I have no work right now. I'm a retiree now.

Re: The legality of divorce online
In the Philippines it is not legally possible to process a divorce/annulment online. If you are in the Philippines, you may opt to file a petition for annulment or nullity before Philippine courts but you may have to appear 3 or 4 times to testify and identify the evidentiary documents.
Re: The legality of divorce online
There is no such thing as divorce online. The party who initiated the petition should appear in court and prove the cause of action for divorce.
