Legal Question in Disability Law in Maryland

i caught my friend cheating, he told me he was going to work, i ran across him after leaving my brothers house & followed him to her house. we exchanged words. a week later i received a summons to appear in court for damages stating i messed up his car with nail polish. i did not do this. what can i do? he is mad because i outsmarted him.
