Legal Question in Administrative Law in Maryland

power of attorney for finances only

I was giving power of attorney for my moms banks.

Does the power of attoney become void after her death?

What happens to the money left in her accounts.

Re: power of attorney for finances only

The power of attorney will not survive death of your mom.

After death the treatment of your mom's property will depend upon whether there is a will and how the property has been titled and/or the way that the accounts are named.
