Legal Question in Administrative Law in Maryland
My rights have been violated by a lawyer and the Board of Directors for Hillcrest Towne HOA. The lawyer threatened to call the police if I tried to attend another meeting as a board member. I was elected by the membership and the Maryland law states that only the members can removed me but the lawyer sent me a letter stating that the board removed me when I requested to view all financial books and records. Maryland Statue 11B. 112 states that I am allowed to view the books and records as a proxy owner but I was elected to the board and now I have been threatened by the lawyer. I have been trying to get my position back for two years now as I was elected for a three year term. I have mailed letters certified to the Board and the Lawyer with no replies other then this year a threat to call the police on me. How do I proceed?

I'm not sure that I understand the facts here. Obviously there is something else going on here. Everything that you say is correct, at least out of context. If you own a unit, you have the right to attend the meetings and see books and records etc. If you were elected as a board member you have other rights to vote etc.
I have dealt with many condo disputes over the years including litigation at every level .. happy to chat for a min or two to determine what you should do next.
